Gregory Ferry Landing is located just off HWY 41 near HWY 17N and has 15 currently available apartments. There are 240 Studio - 3 bedroom apartments with prices ranging from $938 to $1578. Condo Rehab Project Mount Pleasant, SC

Since my husband really wanted to live close to his office, I recently purchased a very reasonably priced 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo in a small community in the heart of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. This condo community offers a pool, club house, security door, and elevators with prices in the low to mid-$100's as of February 16, 2013. The bones are all there for luxury living including 9 foot smooth ceilings, large living and dining areas, open kitchen with a breakfast bar, laundry room, pantry, linen closet, crown molding, luxury master bath with a garden tub and separate shower, outside storage closet, and a screen porch. Some units come with a separate one car garage and many have a view of the ponds. Since the purchase price was so reasonable, we are upgrading our condo with 3" real hardwood white oak flooring, tile bathroom floors, new cabinets, and wide baseboards and moldings. When we removed the single vanity cabinet in the master bathroom, we discovered plumbing for a dual vanity which we prefer.

Mount Pleasant, SC Real Estate Update

There has been an extremely hot rental market in Mount Pleasant, SC over the past few years, but I am noticing approximately 100 rental properties listed as Active in MLS in Mount Pleasant every day when I have been checking this month. While it is too early to tell how this will affect the spring and summer rental season this year, there are several very large new apartment complexes nearing completion and available for new tenants this spring. These new units will definitely ease the demand vs supply situation which will no doubt result in a rental price drop as landlords compete for tenants. If tenants need single family homes, there still will probably be more demand than supply, but many tenants are purchasing homes and moving out of the rental market. New home construction is booming again in Mount Pleasant, but the demand for homes close to downtown Charleston is still strong and most of the new home communities are located out past the HWY 41 area. Cash investors have been buying up all the short sales and foreclosures with multiple offer situations and higher than full price sales in some instances. Therefore, there will be even more rental properties available this spring which will further ease the tight rental market, possibly causing a change from the escalating rental prices we have experienced over the past few years.
